Getting back on wheels, my cycle journey!

Cycles

I still remember the day when I learned to pedal for the first time. I was in 5th standar. My elder brother, we fondly call him Jibhu had bought an Atlas 24″ cycle for his commute. It was all decked with accessories, 2 side mirrors, a handlebar grip even the rims were decked.

One day when he was at school me and my friend took out the cycle and went for a ride towards our school. I know what you are thinking, exactly the same thing happened on the way we lost our balance and end up breaking a side mirror with some scratches on the handle and frame. The rest is history.

My second stint with cycle started in the year 1997 when I joined the college at Nashik. I wanted to buy a BSA Road Cycle for my collage commute but my uncle got me again Atlas 24″. I was really disappointed for the obvious reason that it was not a cool cycle for a college-going guy. Tho I used it for a couple of years and one fine day sold it to our Doodhwala…hahahaah. That was really funny, without informing anyone I had made that decision. For the remaining years of my college, I choose to walk than ride that cycle.

Getting back on cycle

At the beginning of the year 2020, I met these wonderful gentlemen from our society who are regular at cycling. Somehow I also felt like getting on the wheels. So I borrowed one of my friend’s cycle (Bergamont) which was hanging on his wall for a year, I know it happens with most of us, we buy something and due to some reason we don’t use it. But he was kind enough to give me his precious possession and my third stint or you can say the real journey to cycling started again.

Will be sharing my first ride experience in my next blog. Hope you like this one, comments, and share if you like.
